This programme covers virtually the entire Middle East region, both in time and geographically. The programme exposes you to research covering the history, literature, languages and politics of the Arab, Persian and Turkish world, with special attention for the field of Islamic law, anthropology, philology and the modern Middle East. The programme offers you great flexibility to create your own specialisation within the field of Middle Eastern Studies.
Positions in the diplomatic service, at policy-making departments in ministries, the education, cultural, tourism or social-cultural sectors, and international organisations.
A bachelor’s degree in a field related to the specialisation. Specialisation-specific knowledge is also required.
