This highly selective programme is a unique combination of academic education in international relations and political science, featuring practice-oriented courses and training in international diplomacy. We welcome students who demonstrated excellence in academic education, have a professional experience in the area of international relations and diplomacy and are commited to study in an academically demanding environment. Students will benefit from learning opportunities in Brussels, Geneva and The Hague. The first year of the programme includes a compulsory internship, and the programme culminates with a research thesis. You'll be taught jointly by the Institute of Security and Global Affairs, the Institute of Political Science and the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael.
Career options include international diplomacy, government and non-governmental organisations, national or international public administrations, ‘think tanks’ and research institutions, international interest associations or international business.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in political science, international relations, international law, public administration, economics, sociology or history.
