Human rights seek to protect the dignity of all, especially those in a vulnerable position. Various national, regional and universal instruments have been adopted to protect human rights. Yet, some are more effective than others. In this programme, you will analyse these mechanisms and compare their standards and procedures; you will explore the opportunities they offer and the challenges they face.
Our graduates have gone on to careers as human rights researchers, scholars or lawyers in the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights, at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Committee of the Red Cross, national and international NGOs, the civil service and law firms.
