Arts Media and Society
Arts, Media and Society

Visual art today is strongly interlinked with today’s society, a connection which is reinforced by (social) media.

In Arts, Media and Society, the English-taught specialisation of the Art History bachelor’s programme, you will explore this relationship and analyse how it reflects and impacts issues such as climate change and inequality. The first year focuses on art history, giving you a strong foundation. In the second and third year, you will concentrate on the interaction between contemporary art, media and today’s society. This multidisciplinary programme offers insights into the relation of art with disciplines as science and politics. You will develop your academic and personal skills throughout the programme, making you equipped for a wide range of jobs, including curating, art consultancy, publishing or journalism.
