Dozens of peoples, religions and languages exist alongside each other in India, Indonesia and the neighbouring countries.
In this programme you will encounter a fascinating mix of traditional and modern cultures. You will study the history, culture, politics and societies of South and Southeast Asia, choose one of four languages (Hindi, Indonesian, Sanskrit or Tibetan) and learn about religions like Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. You have the option to study aspects of modern society or to learn about classical civilisations. Also, you will gain a strong foundation in academic skills, language and critical thinking. Your knowledge of this region makes you into a good candidate for various job positions with international organisations, becoming a researcher, or working as a consultant.
