Urban Studies

Currently, some 50 percent of the world’s population is living in cities and knows all about the opposing aspects of urban life.

In the Urban Studies programme you will explore how cities are coping with issues related to economic growth, social cohesion, safety and sustainability, and which future challenges they will face. After kicking off with a broad introduction during the first year, in your second year you will be able to specialise in two of our four themes: the multicultural city, the safe city, the healthy city and the sustainable city. The programme brings together lecturers from the humanities, social and natural sciences, and law. After graduation, you will possess the skills and knowledge that will give you an excellent start on the job market.

Why Urban Studies?
